YOUTH CULTURE IN A YOUNG TEENAGE GIRLS LIFE Introduction As teenage girls seek to establish a sense of self, teens may experiment with different roles, activities and behaviors. This is an important process of forming a strong identity and developing a sense of direction through life. Mass media plays an important role in shaping the youth culture. As we all know that in the current modern society, internet, television and magazines has become the inseparable elements of a teenage girl’s life. The media continue to portray the airbrushed goddesses and muscled perfect hair male, young teenagers believe they should look like and are filled with more than beauty and sex advice, forcing young teenagers to play dual roles in society. Magazines Looking over numerous covers on magazines, especially teenage girl magazines, you will that the majority of the headlines revolve around making yourself look better, how to dress, make-up, perfect hair and the correct style for you.
